Faisal is the firstborn of his family. He has ten siblings. He is married with two children, a boy and a girl. Both of Faisal’s parents have died, and since then Faisal has taken on the responsibility of caring for his siblings. Seven of his siblings are in primary school, and three are in SS3, the equivalent of senior year of high school.

Personal Story of Gahali Yusuf, an employee of F&F Mechanical Workshop:
Gahali Yusuf, is a 22 year old boy from Azare Local government area in Bauchi state. He is Faisal’s cousin. Gahali lost his Dad while he was still in the village and for years he was not going to school and did he have any work.
When Faisal went for a visit in the village, he noticed his cousin was idle, without an education or training for any job. He spoke with him and found out that Gahali would like to learn how to be a car mechanic. Faisal brought him to Bauchi and began to train him in his workshop and enrolled him in Primary 4. After he finished his primary education he sat for his ‘common entrance exam’ into the secondary school and now Gahali is going to senior secondary school.
Gahali has been with Faisal for 6 years now, working, schooling and being trained. His life has been changed from a village boy who would dance at the sight of 50 Naira to a man who earn over 2000 Naira a day. Gahali now sends money to his mother in the village to help care for her welfare. Also he provided her with capital to start her own little business where she sells little household food stuffs. Gahali is now a more responsible and independent man because of the help of his Cousin Faisal
Personal Story of Name:Usman Sa’ad, a child attending school:
Usman Sa’ad a 12 year old boy is benefiting from Faisal through the education he receives. Since his father died for over 2 years, Usman’s mother could not afford to pay his school fees any longer so he had to stay at home for 2 years.
Usman lived in Faisal’s neigbourhood and Faisal noticed he had stopped attending school so he decided to pay for his education. He enrolled him in Primary 5 and after that Usman wrote his Common entrance exam. Usman will be resuming secondar school in the fall; in the September.
Usman also helps Faisal in the workshop after school, so in addition to his education, he is learning a trade and earning some money to take care of his basic needs.
Personal Story of Usman Muhammad, F&F Mechanical Workshop Customer:
Usman Muhammad is one of the customers of Faisal who has patronized his business for a few years now. Usman was introduced to Faisal by a friend, when Usman was having some trouble with the wheels of his car. He called Faisal up and made an appointment to bring his car for repairs.
Usman met with Faisal and told him how he has been to 5 other car mechanics and he could not get a service that satisfied him. After Faisal worked on the car, he gave Usman a guarantee of 3 days to try out the car. After the 3 days and even some journies out of town, Usman confirmed that Faisal had done a great job with the car and this began the long and great relationship between them.
Since then, Usman has brought about 7 people to patronize Faisal. During occassions like Sallah or Ramadan Usman even buys some food stuffs for Faisal and invites him over during the Ramadan celebration.
Personal Story of Faisal, Orphan supported by the F&F Mechanical Workshop:
Of the 15 employees working with Faisal, 11 of them have lost their fathers. Working with Faisal has been what has brought help to them and their families.
Auwal Muhammed is one of those boys. Auwal lost his father in the Boko Haram crisis in Maiduguri. He and his two siblings fled Maiduguri for a better place to live and work. Auwal came to Bauchi to stay with his Uncle who was one of Faisal’s neighbours. When Faisal met him, he asked Auwal what he was good at and Auwal told him he was a fisher man with his Dad before the crisis and Faisal was touched by his story and sought to help him.
Faisal offered him employment in his workshop, which he has been doing for 2 years now. Faisal has enjoyed working with Auwal and says he is among the few people he can trust completely among his workers.
Story of Mai Jama’a, a supporter of F&F Mechanical Workshop:
Mai Jama’a is one of Faisal’s huge supporters. For a long time, they have developed a good relationship and Mai Jama’a trust Faisal with his properties.
At a time Mai Jama’a gave Faisal his car to sell and get him a better one. This he did completely trusting that Faisal will get him the best and not cheat him.
Mai Jama’a has counselled, supported and even financially helped Faisal over the years. Bringing more people to him to get their cars repaired.
