Personal Story of Hamza Kabiru, an employee of Adbullahi’s Shoemaker Shop:
Hamza Kabiru is one the young employees who works for Danliti. Hamza began to work with Danliti when he was just 12 years old. His father brought him to learn a skill so he could help his family and also pay for his education that he had had to stop because of the financial difficulty the family encountered.
About 8 months after Hamza began working with Danliti he had made enough to be able to return to school.
Today Hamza is in his Senior secondary school SS2, and is still working at the cobbling store, as one of the most skills of all the employees and a huge help to his parents and his siblings.
Personal Story of Name:Yusuf Almustapha, a child attending school:
Yusuf Almustapha lost his father when he was only 5 years old. He and his 2 siblings had to depend on their mother for their livelihood. This was tough because their mother was only a petty trader and didn’t make enough to feed them, talk more of sending them to school.
Yusuf’s Dad was Danliti’s cousin, so Danliti decided to take care of Yusuf. He brought him to stay with him in his house; he also enrolled him in Primary school.
Yusuf began working at Danliti’s shop to learn how to repair shoes so he could also make some extra pocket money for himself. Now Yusuf has begun to learn how to make shoes also.
Personal Story of Local security and paramilitary agency, Adbullahi’s Shoemaker Shop Customer:
One of Danliti’s main customers is the Local security and paramilitary agencies with this locality. Because of the quality of the shoes he makes and the style he makes them with, Danliti’s shoes have earned a reputation over his competition.
Sometime he would receive orders to make 500 -1000 shoes which he would do with extra care and excellence.
The local agencies have enjoyed his service so much, they would always come back for more.
Personal Story of Jamil Shaibu, Orphan supported by the Adbullahi’s Shoemaker Shop:
Jamil Shaibu has been with Danliti for about 4 years since he lost his Father. Jamil was brought to learn the cobbling skill with Danliti and Danliti liked him because of his commitment to work and hard work, this gave him a place in Danliti’s heart.
Danliti began to inquire about his family, his future plans and the challenges he faced. After Jamil had told him how he had had to stop school because his mother could not afford it, Danliti opted to pay for his fees and give him some extra money for his welfare.
Jamil still works at the cobbling shop, learning more about the skill while attending school during the day and helping him mum and siblings as he can.
Story of Kabiru Ado, a supporter of Adbullahi’s Shoemaker Shop:
Kabiru Ado is like a father to Danliti, Danliti was friends with Kabiru’s son and since then Kabiru took a liking to him. After the death of Kabiru’s son-Danliti’s friend- Kabiru began to do all he could to help Danlilti succeed as a young man.
Kabiru was the one who counselled Danliti to learn how to repair and make shoes. Danliti took his advice and year later. Danliti has Kabiru to thank for his wise and timely counsel.
Danliti considers Kabiru as one of the pillars of his business success because of his counsel and continuous support.
