Global Young Innovators Initiative
Carson Unity Restaurant Business
As a group, our mission is to assist people in need and help them achieve their life goals. That is why we are proud to be working with Deborah Obalohun to better her restaurant business.
We will be cooperating with her business by improving the presentation and appearance of her restaurant, providing ideas to aid in the expansion of her business, and creating a successful marketing plan. We will complete these tasks through creativity, effort, responsibility, and determination.
Our goal is to be able to dramatically impact Deborah and her family’s, as well as her staff’s and their families’ lives by increasing the restaurant’s income through the plans established during our time working with Leadership Initiative.
This opportunity gives us first-hand experience with world problems, global leadership, and business management. We will also be gaining personal satisfaction owing to the fact of helping the Bauchi community and local families.
We take this experience seriously because we fully understand the importance of the restaurant’s existence due to the people directly benefitting from the business depending on it for education and a stable lifestyle.
See how each day at the summit we are gaining new skills to assist our business partner and transform lives.

Story of the Business:
Deborah has always been a great cook and has always been told so by many. She loves cooking and has always helped friends and family to cook during birthday or wedding celebrations. She seeks to turn this into a profit making business for herself. She looks forward to the adventure of owning her own business and bringing more income home for her children. Deborah has been a widow for over 10 years now. Life has been difficult for her and her 5 children who she has struggled to ensure all get an education. The difficulties they face has been due to a lack of adequate financial income for her to meet their daily needs. Her meagre teacher’s salary does very little for her and thus her desire to own a restaurant to help her and her children with the rising cost of living. She is very excited at the opportunity presented to her with Leadership Initiatives.
Deborah has always been a generous person even though she has so little. She looks forward to providing exceptional services to the people of her local community and even employing as many as she needs and she can help to be a part of her business.
How We Are Transforming Unity Restaurant Business
And Changing The World
This program has given us first-hand experience in the world of entrepreneurship, giving us the opportunity to work personally with a small business owner in Nigeria. We created a true relationship with Deborah, a small restaurant owner in Bauchi. We enjoyed getting to know about her family and learning to care for her restaurant in the same way she does.
We have created a plan that, when applied, will satisfy all of Deborah’s problems and requests. In addition, our plan will set Deborah up to add or change locations and reach a larger spread of consumers. We are adding a larger variety of foods. We are also expanding on Deborah’s idea of catering to events and delivering to consumers. Finally, we have added a logo and menu to add to the aesthetic of Deborahs business while also providing a possible advertising model.
