Global Young Innovators Initiative
Carson Joint Hands Communication
Our mission is to remediate international problems while positively impacting the people in that region. We pledge to give 100% of our efforts to our solutions while keeping an open mind to any and all solutions for now and our futures. We aim to broaden our horizons and learn about a new culture while lending a helping hand. It is our goal to expand the computer repair business in Nigeria through advertising, and fixing hardware problems that the company is facing.
Finding new innovative ways to fix the problems will be our focus, but more specifically, we are aiming to help fix the hardware problems that are occurring. Working with Leadership Initiatives will bring us valuable experiences, and we are very excited to take on the challenge of this endeavor.
We are very excited that we are helping with computer repair, so that the Nigerian people can grow economically, socially, and internationally. It is the first step to bringing technological modernization overseas.
By helping with the computer repair business, we hope that it will in turn lead to more people being educated in technology, thus creating a ripple effect leading to more qualified school administrators and government workers.
In finding solutions to dead processors and failing batteries, we can help this business to become prosperous. When the community has working computers, there are new opportunities to increase chance for success for the community.
See how each day at the summit we are gaining new skills to assist our business partner and transform lives.

Story of the business
Muhammad Sani began working with the center in 2011. He was put in charge of website and software design. Sani graduated from Federal polytechnic Bauchi in the same year, where he read Computer science. Since then he has been with the center. He is the first born of his family of 5 children. His father is a civil servant married with one wife. His father sponsored his education through primary till he finished his higher education.
It was at this time that Leadership Initiatives took notice of Sani as a community leader and provided him with business management training along with a few additional skills from an LI hired computer trainer (although the trainer admits that Sani taught him a number of things as well) and with LI’s support found local funding to create a computer business center.
Sani has been able to assist his family financially because of the center. He enjoys working with the center. He sees it as an opportunity to boost his skills and enhance his potential. This has also exposed him to more opportunities and challenged him to seek more knowledge.
M.S Dauda provides the local community with low-cost computer training and repairs and has become a hub for computer training and printing service. Many Nigerian high school kids have had the opportunity of receiving low cost computer training during their summer break with M.S. Dauda. These services have allowed multiple families and individuals who couldn’t afford computer training in other high end schools to get the needed training. M.S is also training community members looking to develop their skills computer services so they can apply to the growing computer job market within Nigeria.
Because of the success of M.S computer training program, government agencies and schools have hired their services to provide low-cost training to their government officials, teachers and students. The demand is so high Muhammad and his team have traveled to 14 different areas within Bauchi state, providing computer training to over 200 people this year alone.
How We Are Transforming Joint Hands Communication
And Changing The World
Our business partner had three main problems in his business of computer repair. His first problem was that the customers’ processors would die and he could not fix it when he really needed to. His second problem was the battery life of the computers he worked with. They were running very low on battery and he could not quite come up with a reasonable solution to show his customers. The last problem was to advertise his business more. Our business owner had so way of advertising his business, so his customers were limited.
Our solution for his first problem, the damage of his processors, is to use surge protectors for the power surges that his computers go through in power outages. Although it is really not a solution, it is all we can really do to prevent the damage to the computer processors. The second problem that we addressed was the battery life. All that we could really do was create a pamphlet with battery saving tips and ideas that his customers could follow. His third issue that we faced was advertising. In order to fix this problem, we decided to write a business letter to the local businesses around his computer shop to advertise his business.
