Global Young Innovators Initiative
Franklin Homemade/Local Fragrance Making Business Team
It is our mission to impact the world enough to make a positive and efficient change. We promise to give our full attention and energy to any task we are focusing on. We are very excited to be working with your Fragrance business and we hope that we can benefit your business as much as possible. We have a goal to give your business an official name, logo, and radio script, help advertise your business as much as possible, and to explore different ways in order to help manage your income.
We would like to focus mostly on advertisement. As we have previously been informed, your only form of advertisement is by radio. We wish to expand this and provide you with new ways to advertise your business. As we also learned earlier that you have to buy all the supplies to make the fragrances yourself, travel around 6 hours to purchase the supplies, there are 3 employees, and that you make around 7,500 nairas a week. Hopefully, with our advertising concepts, these challenges will diminish.
After doing more research, we found as a group that the fragrances are very important during weddings. Here, we think that it may be an excellent place for you to offer your items. We also believe that making fragrances for certain types of people may attract more customers. Along with this, we also were informed that you may be able to have an intern work with your accounting details, for free. This could create more time to work on the fragrances.
We think that improving your advertisement situation and receiving assistance with accounting is an excellent place to begin. With this, you will have the opportunity to generate more income. You’ve already built a strong foundation for this fragrance business and we are very proud of you for making it this far! We hope that we can help you continue improving your business.
See how each day at the summit we are gaining new skills to assist our business partner and transform lives.

Story of the business
Bilkisu is a twenty year old woman, who just finished her final exams in secondary school. After graduating, Bilkisu decided to use her experience with perfumes and open up a business; she has been more successful than she anticipated, prompting her to continue expanding her business. With the revenue from her business, Bilkisu is able to support her family while being able to provide for herself.
Fragrances are usually very costly, making it an exclusive commodity. Bilkisu sells her fragrances at subsidized prices in order to let everyone have access to her products. This strategy has made Bilkisu a favorite within her community. Moreover, she also hopes to expand her business so that she will be able to hire more employees and provide them with a stable income and a better future.
