Global Young Innovators Initiative
As a team, we will attempt to change more than just the life of our business partner, but also the overall life of the community for the better. Knowing that our business partner has many family and community members to care for, it is our goal to support him and the community because every individual deserves the opportunity that money has to provide.
By taking advantage of this program, we hope to reach out to a community across the globe with ease and induce a positive change, promoting an increased quality of life in Nigeria. We embrace this challenging task because it is our duty to acknowledge hardships that others may go through and take action to help others. This experience will prove to other youths as well that they are not too young to make a change and we hope to set that example.
According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, physiological needs, like food, forms the base of the pyramid. A stable, political system or even society cannot advance when their basic needs aren’t even being met. However, the large developmental gaps of countries can be lessened with more food availability to populations allowing more focus upon improving other issues. The food that a successful farm could provide has potential to provide so much more than just food; it opens the door to more advanced development in Nigeria.
Nigeria has only 40% of arable land and unpredictable fits of drought and flooding making it difficult to feed the largest country in Africa. However, implementing efficient methods in farming can combat this predicament. Not only will the community begin to flourish physically, but the needs of societal and cultural development will also gain more attention and initiate the beginnings of transforming into a second or even first- world country.
See how each day at the summit we are gaining new skills to assist our business partner and transform lives.
