In addition to helping solve business problems facing our business partner we are actively fundraising to create new poultry, catering and mobile cell phone repair businesses across the globe. The money we raise will go towards bringing in a professional in these fields to teach the emerging business owner and their employees the skills they need to own and operate that business. The expert will live in the community training the business team as they grow to ensure they can give the community the skills and resources they need to grow.

The Maslaha Beauty Salon Story
Fatima has become an example of empowerment for women within her community. With her booming business she has employed 5 young women and in many cases made them the primary providers for their families.
Employees use this new income to take care of their children, siblings and parents. Collectively, these they send 8 children to school with their salaries.
Fatima also trains apprentices on hair care and works with others to attend school and obtain a post secondary education. Fatima has become a sounding board and mentor to many women within her community who wish to provide for their family and open their own businesses, becoming an icon of empowerment.
Currently the Maslaha Beauty Salon faces three key problems to developing their shop into a successful business; create new low cost hair designs to continually attract new costumers, creating a new advertising campaign and business logo to showcase the shop to the community create an apprenticeship program to create a stable auxiliary staff for times of additional business such as festivals or large national celebrations.
This business was the first photo studio in the Bayara community. Due to thelocation, discounted pricing, and Umar’s knowledge of the passport andgovernment ID programs, Umar has been able to help multiple individuals obtaintheir passports and other government ID’s to get new jobs within Nigeria andthe world.
Umar’s business has also grown significantly due tohis ability to create wedding albums using his digital editing software, givingfamilies in his community a chance to purchase affordable wedding photos andalbums capturing one of the most memorable times of their lives.
The Gimbiya Photo Studio has created jobs and sendschildren to school; and Umar, along with his employees, care for local orphansand provide skills training to help make a stronger, happier and brighterBayara community.
