One of the goals of the Unity Restaurant is expanding the kinds meals offered. Deborah strives to create the best experience for her customers and wants to provide them with a wide menu selection. After browsing and trying the 20+ recipes created for her by IBAP students, Deborah has added yam porridge to her menu and is planning on adding pepper soup in the near future.

Personal Story of Ayo, Unity Restaurant Employee
Ayo has been working with Deborah for the past 8 years. She began working for the Unity Restaurant at a young age when her family fell upon financial hardship.
Deborah recognized Ayo’s potential and paid for her primary and secondary education. Ayo currently cooks and cleans for the restaurant, after she attends her classes. She is preparing to take her final exams and attend university.
Ayo recognizes the opportunity to work for Deborah as life changing and hopes to own her own restaurant one day.
Personal Story of Bukola, Deborah’s Daughter
Bukola is Deborah’s 15-year-old daughter. She is in her senior of secondary school and plans on attending university.
When she comes home for break, she helps her mother with the resturaunt. Bukola is thankful for the Unity Restaurant because without it, her family would struggle to finance her education.
Personal Story of Ahmed, Customer
The first time Ahmed ate a meal at the Unity Restaurant, he ordered seconds because he thoroughly enjoyed the food. Upon leaving, he promised to come back to the restaurant and bring friends and family. Ahmed has kept his promise and regularly eats at Unity Restaurant.
