International Business Alliance Program
Our vision is to transform communities around the world and to make an impact on their lives. Through fundraising, teamwork, and a strong work ethic we plan to implement creative solutions to pressing problems in developing African businesses. By way of frequent collaboration, our team will help these businesses and their local economies flourish while building long-lasting relationships with one another.
Raising money will also be a focus of our project, but more importantly we would like to know that we have directly contributed to bettering the lives of others by helping our partner business solve 3 developmental issues in fish farming. We know working with Leadership Initiatives will bring us enriching experiences, and look forward to taking on this endeavor and welcome the challenge.
We were especially interested in taking on a project in the fish farming business because it is a necessary element for the people of Nigeria to live their lives. There has been tremendous political unrest in Nigeria as of late. People in Nigeria still have to focus their energy on obtaining basic human needs such as shelter, water and food. When there is a stable food supply, people can forget about hunger and be able to start reforming the political system. By providing for these basic human needs, we will in turn be giving citizens of this community the opportunity to start addressing other, more significant, problems.
We think building up the local infrastructure by enhancing the fish farming industry is a great place to start. By doing so, the community of Gerden can make money, feed themselves and begin to gain power, which means the start of self-sustainability. Simply by helping one aspect of Nigerian industry to expand, we can open doors for a better Nigeria and world.

Story of the Business:
Muhammad has always had an aptitude for computer trainngs and repairs this drew him to learn all he could at an early stage and eventually he began the business. Muhammad Sani began working with the center in 2011. He was put in charge of website and software design. Sani graduated from Federal polytechnic Bauchi in the same year, where he read Computer science. Since then he has been with the center.
He is the first born of his family of 5 children. His father is a civil servant married with one wife. His father sponsored his education through primary till he finished his higher education.
It was at this time that Leadership Initiatives took notice of Sani as a community leader and provided him with business management training along with a few additional skills from an LI hired computer trainer (although the trainer admits that Sani taught him a number of things as well) and with LI’s support found local funding to create a computer business center.
Sani has been able to assist his family financially because of the center. He enjoys working with the center. He sees it as an opportunity to boost his skills and enhance his potential. This has also exposed him to more opportunities and challenged him to seek more knowledge.
M.S Dauda provides the local community with low-cost computer training and repairs and has become a hub for computer training and printing service. Many Nigerian high school kids have had the opportunity of receiving low cost computer training during their summer break with M.S. Dauda. These services have allowed multiple families and individuals who couldn’t afford computer training in other high end schools to get the needed training. M.S is also training community members looking to develop their skills computer services so they can apply to the growing computer job market within Nigeria.Because of the success of M.S computer training program, government agencies and schools have hired their services to provide low-cost training to their government officials, teachers and students. The demand is so high Muhammad and his team have traveled to 14 different areas within Bauchi state, providing computer training to over 200 people this year alone.
